20MPH Limit for Crakehall?

North Yorkshire County Council's recent review of its 20mph speed limit policy offers some hope that it may be prepared to consider 20mph limits in areas near schools where current vehicle speeds are not significantly greater than 20mph. The Parish Council considered this at its meeting last Wednesday and it was agreed to seek the views of residents about the possibility of applying to Highways (with the support of the school) for a 20mph limit on the A684 from the existing Playground signpost in Little Crakehall to the existing School sign near the petrol station. Would you support such a move? Please feel free to comment.

There is more information about this in the draft minutes of the meeting on the Parish Council section of this website. You can also see there the latest edition of the council's bi-monthly newsletter.
